B2B data enrichment

What is B2B data enrichment?

B2B data enrichment adds information to existing company records – for example in a CRM – such as industry, offering, location, company size or website. This makes segmentation, lead scoring and well-targeted sales outreach easier. Sources include public websites, registers and specialist data providers. Personal data about contacts falls under the GDPR and should be processed sparingly and only with a legal basis.

How KI.ordo helps

The KI.ordo template “Enrich company data” reads a company's public website and creates a company profile with its source – company data only, no information on private individuals.

Clearbit was acquired by HubSpot in 2023; its functions are now offered as Breeze Intelligence within HubSpot (as of October 2026).

Lead Scraper

A lead scraper is a tool that automatically collects contact details of potential customers from websites, directories or social networks. In Germany and the EU this is legally sensitive: names and email addresses of contact persons are personal data, so processing them requires a legal basis and informing the data subjects under the GDPR, and under German unfair competition law (UWG, Section 7) advertising emails generally require prior express consent, including to businesses. Inbound enquiries via your website, content and referrals are the better route (not legal advice).

Data cleansing

Data cleansing is the detection and correction of incorrect, duplicate or inconsistent entries in data sets. Typical steps include standardising spellings and date formats, removing superfluous spaces and merging duplicates such as 'Smith Ltd' and 'Smith Limited'. Clean data is a prerequisite for reliable analyses, mailings and AI applications.

Net new business

Net new business refers to revenue generated from customers who did not previously exist, as distinct from renewals, upselling or expansion with existing customers. The metric shows how well a company opens up new markets and target groups, and sales teams often plan and reward it separately. Example: a software vendor reports 40% of its quarterly order intake as net new business.
