AI-Driven Start-up

What is AI-Driven Start-up?

An AI-driven start-up is a young company whose product or business model is fundamentally based on artificial intelligence, such as specialised assistants for an industry, analytics tools or automated services. Such start-ups often build on existing foundation models and differentiate themselves through domain expertise, data, usability and integration. Challenges include dependence on model providers, cost per request and regulation. Example: a start-up that automatically prepares inspection reports for trade businesses.

Vertical AI Agent

A vertical AI agent is tailored to a specific industry or specialist task, such as customer support in e-commerce, appointment booking in medical practices or sales enquiries in mechanical engineering. Unlike general-purpose assistants, it knows the terminology, processes and rules of its field because it is equipped with suitable instructions, knowledge and tools. As a result, it usually delivers more precise and reliable results within its domain.

Go-to-market (GTM)

A go-to-market (GTM) strategy sets out how a product or service will be launched successfully in a market: which target group has which problem, how the offer is positioned and priced, which channels it is sold through and which metrics measure success. A GTM plan links marketing, sales and product. Example: a software provider starts with one industry, one partner channel and a 90-day goal.

AI prototype development

An AI prototype is an early, working version of an AI application that lets a team test an idea quickly and at modest cost. Rather than planning for months, you try it with real data and users to see whether the AI solves the task reliably enough, which data is missing and what value it delivers. Example: an assistant that pre-sorts customer enquiries is trialled on part of the inbox for two weeks before deciding on a wider roll-out.

AI Consultant

An AI consultant helps organisations use AI sensibly and responsibly. Typical tasks include assessing potential, selecting suitable use cases and tools, embedding them in existing processes and responsibilities, data protection and compliance questions, and training. Good consultancy weighs benefits and risks soberly and takes into account the people who work with the systems. Example: a mid-sized company clarifies which customer enquiries can be reliably automated.
